Hi Folks,

Working on an exterior scrape and paint. Question--I've never used a sprayer. Is this a tool I should quickly become up close and personal with? :D (and is there a huge learning curve)

Am I at a disadvantage not using one? I realize that painting an entire exterior by hand takes longer, but to me, I know the quality will be there.

Thanks!

yes and no , spraying is defintley a learning process, exteriors are good place to learn and you will save time. flair out your gun a bit on laps. while you get used to the airless you can allways back brush when you have excess piant build up. watch out for over spray on the roof. i like to hang tarps off the fascia to create a more inclosed area. then just do fascia by hand. remember to lap your strokes and use to coats. good luck, dave
