Title...? contractors unite or something or other...?

I just checked out the DIY forum,... much more peaceful over there. I do personally enjoy this site. I am on two other forums where most users aren't competitive + would seem to enjoy helping others through answering of questions. I myself, am a competionless (new word) contractor. I am friends with basically (almost) every concrete contractor in my area. If they need help or need to borrow equipement,... it's given. I'm always busy with my work, + with that eliminates the idea of me competing with anyone. I have seen some of the worsed concrete jobs done around here by professionals (which I take pics of) + I've seen the best. I have never talked down on another to get a job. ( the above will be my late introduction post)
Well, after that choppy rambling of sentences, I guess we should try to help people (contractors) on this forum. It's all been pretty good but a few posts I've noticed,... I can sense to be competetive. There's no need for Rick in Washington, that does carpet, needs to get upset with Steve in New Jersey because he has a hardwood flooring question... right?
I think I slipped through the "first introduction post" thing, + thank the invisible man no one came down on me for not doing it. I was unaware that you needed to do that nor did i read it in the user agreement. The DIY + contractor seperation is a good thing, but it could be regulated as well... might save on alot of headaches + lost sleep. Maybe after reading + accepting user agreement, it is a must a web page or a recent copy of a 1040 is emailed for proof of being a contractor or maybe federal ID #. On adult sites, you have to prove you're 18 with a credit card.... well at least that's what someone told me anyway! Ok a bit much!
Lastly, I've greatly appreciated all (except one) that have answered any questions I have had + those that have accepted posts I have left about others!!!

I apologize for the wonderful sentence + paragraph structure... I do concrete

That's funny you ask.... after I proof read my wonderful, well thought out post, which goes on + on. I was going to mention that I don't do drugs...
might need my head checked though!
Funny you started a thread about the DIY forum. I just joined over there this morning. I do agree that it's more chilled over there. I also noticed that members over there post maybe once or twice, then see ya!

Doesn't matter to me though; I like talking to the H/Oers! and giving advice. They ask the funniest questions! Plus, it's just doing a little networkin' and learning from the average joe; filing this info away into the ole memory banks.

I will use the DIY forum's interactions to further hone my skills with salesmanship in gaining new clients in the field. Hopefully.

There's some real doozies over there sometimes. My only complaint is the hit and run guys. You take time to respond, even look up and post helpful links, and never see another repsonse, or even a thank you. I like to think thye at least read it, so I'm not wasting my time trying to help.
