Tin Ceiling Tiles?

2093 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  WarnerConstInc.
Anyone have a source for these, even used, or recycled, that are less then $2 a sq/ft.?

Or....anyone have a stock of these the want to sell off, since this is for my own project?

not sure of the cost, but these can be had in Lowes in the ceiling tile isle.
What I am after is the "old style" snap on 2 edges, or nail up. Not grid style. I have seen a few done in reclaimed tin....and they were pretty awesome.
There are several manufacturers of them new, but $2/sf is tough- even for the plain primed ones. M Boss has plain tin tiles that need to be coated with something for $7.75/panel, which is just under $2/sf (plus freight, nails, trim, etc.) Decent quality used ones command a premium because of the "patina", so I doubt you'll find them that cheap either.
Any interest in faux tin cieling tiles?, i have done a few jobs, they glue up, and look great. G
renovators supply has embossed paper ones that paint up pretty well. rensup.com I think. arch salvage yards are they only other place for that price range.
Whoer despot sells a line of nail up ones don't know about pricing though

I saw those and they fooled me. Looks like the real deal.
