Is there any testing or icc-esr paperwork that comes with the hardware? There's no way I could get that approved without some engineers stamp and the proper testing that's required in an icc-esr report. I can get glass rails approved all day long if it's stopped on all four sides. If it's not stopped on all sides it requires an icc-esr.

It's a bitchin look that's for certain.
It did have an engineers stamp, don't know about the icc-esr. With no posts or top rail it definitely needs to be engineered.

Maybe you can sell me the design. I'd love to have it. I'd be very interested in purchasing that. It's probably up there with the best look in rails I've ever seen. I think it's not being able to see them that looks good. That Seems like an oxy moron.

Lol, you can have the design I posted if you want. I saw a lot of glass rail pictures like this one in houzz.com, I think most were taken in California. They might require double pane glass in your area, which you're not supposed to use in this channel. Designing these is a headache, you really need to find a good glass dealer if you want to build one.

Well, it's treated with this stuff http://www.easyclean10.com/ So it shouldn't have to be cleaned very often. I noticed cleaning with a squeegee is difficult because you can't squeegee from the top down with a standard window squeegee. I think they need to find a squeegee that's angled the other way so they can squeegee it down instead of up.

And it's not really that high, about 20 feet. You can see over the trees because the house is on a steep hill.
This is probably the best squeegee. It has a spring and can be tilted to a steep angle. Use on a short telescoping pole. Should be able to do those horizontally, walking down the deck. If they have a window cleaner guy, he probably already knows about it.

Are the vertical seams where glass panels meet siliconed together or free floating? If open, would probably need to dry out each seam with a clean cloth.
