Im a joiner, but never fitted velux windows to a house that has been tiled (only new build previously).
What is best way to remove tiles for the opening, how easy and how many tiles would i need to take off?
Windows are 550 x 998.
Is it easy enough for me to refit the tiles once the windows are fitted.
Thanks for your time

It all depends on your access to the roof, can you get to it and work from the attic? if you have to come from the outside, id put a ladder up to the eaves and then a cat ladder (chicken ladder)up the roof and do it that way.
It all depends on what tiles they are? but most tiles will be either interlocking or half laps, there normally surcured by a nail over here but once you have got one out you will see.
I hope you have someone to help you becauses its a deffo two man job.
Hope this helps
Cheers
Dave
