If the first letter I posted isn't what you are looking for please give me some pointers. I'll try to come up with something more to your taste. I do the thank you card thing as well for my customers.

I also use the thank you cards as an opportunity to sell add ons that weren't partof the intital job. Perhaps the customer couldn't afford it at the time. For example on my early season work I'll push bulb planting in the late fall. I'll include a 3 or 4 page flier w/ various flowers in it. If they sign a contract early in the season I'll pass on the savings to them and store the bulbs until it's time to plant. This gives them a few months to come up w/ the money.

Trying to sell something in every customer correspondence works well for me. I pay $50 for a referral that results in a signed contract. If they prefer to have that credited towards future work I just started doing that for $75 per referral at a customers request. She's saving up for one of my $20 a sq. ft. patios.

Is there an add on that you could sell down the road in bath remodels? Perhaps a maintenance item?
