I have a light switch that JUST controls a outlet no light fixture.

I 'm going to put a light fixture in ,, I opened up the switch box and found its a switch loop ,,just 1 white 1 black and 1 ground in the box ,, white and black both attached to switch.

How do I wire in the switch leg to the switch box and it to the fixture?

Pigtail the whites together and the blacks and attach both back to switch than the fixture just as normal,,white to white ,,black to black?

The short answer is, NO--you cannot do it as you describe and you cannot wire your light from the switch as you describe it.
