The bathroom had carpet and the water inlet to the toilet leaked.
They didn't notice the leak untill the carpet was soaked and the pressboard subfloor was soaked aroung the toilet flange and in front of the vanity.

The damage is bad enough to need to replace the subfloor but the entire bathroom is not dammaged.
It is a small bathroom. 5' x 6' square with a vanity.
it's an older housa and a rental. I really don't want to take out the vanity.
Can I cut out around it replace the bad section, put town new lanoleum install toilet and move on?

Thanks

you will want to replace damaged subfloor under the vanity if there is any.

but if not, then replace subfloor or underlay as needed, and lay down AC plywood this time for the vinyl.
