I always have job specific agreements with all subs but this is different.

I am being told that in order to comply with the new Pa laws I need to have one with every sub and have it notarized, this is a seperate document, not job specific, that states that they are "independant proffessionals", have all insurance they are required to and so on.

Maybe it's not called a sub-contractor agreement, I'm not sure.
Is this standard procedure now? Do you all have your subs sign them? Do you sign them for others?

I know all subs need to be licensed and I have to supply HO with all info on subs in my contract. I have read the new law and did not see anything that required this type of documentation.

I'm asking my lawyer about it but wanted some other thoughts on it.

Thanks,

Bill

Ya we have a file of all subs we use. As soon as we sign them on they sign this. This is a kind of one for all type deal. This oversees all work they perform. We have been doing for about 5 years.
