Back in the crows nest I am trying to add some new life to an old white sand brick fireplace chimney.
Generally these type brick last 40 to 50 years before they start spalling and losing their luster. Owner already had the top 2 ft. re-built a few years back when he found chunks laying in the yard and now the deterioration is continuing.
My scope includes wire lath, scratch and brown base, finish stucco work and two coats Thorocoat acrylic finish. Also pouring a proper concrete crown with 2" overhang/drip relief.
I got it made in the shade with this one - cool weather and a big Ole Sycamore to block out most of the sun,...hallauya!
