Has anyone had experience framing additions off of a house made of 4" structural foam panels? I am framing off one right now and so far it has not been such a pleasure. I will add some pictures soon.

Not really sure. The facia is a solid piece of steal wrapped in aluminum coil. The exterior walls are solid foam panels with metal some kind of metal studing 24"OC. Roof seems to e the same way except the roof has osb laminated onto the foam. I just cant see how nailing sleepers to the osb on foam is going to work for the dormer style roof.

SIPS usually involve glue. Nailing lumber to the OSB side without glue will perform just like you think it would.

Could be nails and glue or screws and glue.

If you can identify the panel, the details would probably be online somewhere.

I think I'm going to use ledgerlock screws or lags and PL the sleepers down. I just do not trust the osb and nails.
