I mostly only lurk on this site so hopefully it is ok to post. Some active members here suggested I do so.

My truck and trailer were stolen from my house last night in St. Catharines, ON. The Trailer is a 7x14 enclosed (United), the truck is a 2005 Silverado 2500HD Diesel.

The trailer is LOADED with tools, my whole life basically. Those that know me from various forums know how much I love to buy tools, so you can just imagine.

Keep an eye out for someone unloading tools for cheap.
bostitch nailers (every one you can imagine)
all dewalt 18v cordless tools
tapco pro 19 brake(basically new)
tapco brake buddy
tapco cut off
multi master
dewalt recip
makita planer, drywall gun 4"belt sander
jamb saws
etc etc etc etc etc too much to list

Stanley organizers FULL of tons of hardware and plumbing fittings

Any help would be appreciated. Call me 905-641-5897 or police right away.

Thanks...scott

Thanks, yes I have insurance, but they are dicking me around already. First I was told I had none  (which I knew different).

Either way its not enough (about 50%, again they said I was covered for contents under something else as well so I didn't need as much.), we'll see how it plays out. I'll get hosed on the truck I'm sure because its an 05 and I just bought it 2yrs ago.

I'm sick to my stomach and out of work.:censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

Sorry to hear about this. Ihad my van broken into right in my driveway in August. They only got a few pcs. There's a lot more they could of gotten. If they did insurance would not have covered it all and the premium even for up to a few thousand addl was very high. I went to screens and puck locks.

Lets talk about solutions ? Aside from steering wheel bars and wheel stops how much is a Lo Jack set up anyone ?

Sorry having trouble keeping up with the posts everywhere so im sorry if I miss something!

The police and myself called onstar and they say it can't be done.

If you want you can post on onstars FB page. part way down you will see a pic of my truck and some comments. Jason posted it.

If they broke into a locked and alarmed truck in front of your house then they could probably disable tracking too, no?

I don't know how it works but I'm sure it couldn't be hard to disable if you knew where to look.

I wouldn't hold out on finding any of the tools even if they do find the truck or trailer. I just hope your insurance comes through for you.
If you are like most of us, the fun of shopping for new tools will help alleviate the bitterness of losing them all.

Sorry to hear about that. I will keep my eyes open. Any markings on the tools?

Where the hell does someone hide something like that? I read in Greg's post that you think it's gone to a reserve, which makes good sense from a hiding standpoint.

I'll be out in Brantford this week, I'll have a look around at a pawn shop if you want but I doubt they would have come up yet, they usually stick them in the back for awhile to cool off.

No I'm not holding out much hope. The police said they obviously knew what they were doing. I just hope insurance comes through. Sounds like I have to wait 30days though to see what they recover.

the police were saying that even with onstar, all they have to do is break the antenna and it won't work. So chances are, they did because they seem like they knew what they were doing.

No markings on the tools. Once I get a list together maybe I'll post it.

things that may stand out are:
-about 15 stanley organizers with tons of fasteners, fittings etc
-multimaster
-tapco pro 19 brake with pro cut off and brake buddy, snips, seaming pliers.
-100ft roll of "sand" aluminum.
-5 sand siding corners
-box full of siding starter, sand J trim.
-makita 4"belt sander (was like $400) just bought it
-bostitch nailers, framing finish roofing, hardwood etc...
-roberts Jamb saw
-various roll out carpet runners
-black tool boxes labelled "carpet", "tile","electrical", "Plumbing " etc
-dewalt electricians bag full of hand tools.

Just brushing the surface.

thanks..scott
