I've poured a few foundations since started working as a carpenter. We recently did a mono pour for a garage and when we pulled the forms the top of stem wall was a little "fuzzy". We have always just knocked it down by rolling a couple of stubs of rebar across it like a file. My boss has been doing that way for 30 plus years (he's kind of old school). I was just wondering if there was a more efficient way to achieve a smoother finish on top of the stem wall without taking any more extensively laborious steps?
