If you have never used one they are the best IMO for roofing. Stanley stopped making them so they can be tricky to find. The way the knife fire in your hand and how durable make them great, and I know I'm not the only one to think that.

I use the imitation ones, made by primegrip. I think they were cast from the same dies, best knife ever just the primegrip ones get a little sloppy and extra blades start falling out.

I like those fixed bladed knifes for two reasons.

It's always ready to go (this can be bad when it's in your back pocket I've lost more that way then any other way)

And all the ones with thumb wheels to get a new blade, or push buttons to extend the blade get gummed up with hot. :whistling

If you had the AJC knife, you would throw them away. He was a real roofer.
I know members of the extended family. AJC is owned by a different branch of the family that I know.

It's a large family and every family member I have met is a solid, classy individual-just an excellent family and hard working.
