Stand - Off for B vent

Need to go up about 3 ft on this vent.

How best to do a stand off from the rake board ? Type of material ?

I would use some s-lock,2-3" lip-out on both ends to drive a screw or two on each side. Wish I knew how to draw it out and post, but, it's quite simple.
