I was going to shoot some shellac primer. Do I need Teflon packings in my sprayer (graco 395)
I remember it eating up my packings a few years ago when I was cleaning out my lines. I believe I used denatured alcohol to chase the shellac out. Any thoughts?
Your pump is fine. Flush any water out with paint thinner first. Otherwise it gums up the hoses instantly. Cleanup with denatured alcohol. You can clean shellac with ammonia and water. Hot water helps. However they typically suggest rinsing spray equipment with alcohol.
