I was appraising a job today and discovered something that I had never seen before, a sink vented under a cabinet! No valve, nada. Just the sink 'Y' leading up the wall to a 90 deg atmospheric dump (hole in the wall) under the cabinet. Has anyone ever seen this done?
This is a General Development Corp. home (GDC) any guesses on what we call them?

Are you ready to run with the big dogs or pi$$ on the porch with the puppies?
This is a contractors site, you didn't add much other than empty space.
If you would like to change that and join in, welcome.
If you intend on remaining an irritant, goodbye.

Its called a blind vent, some years back they would also leave them in the wall with a cap on them the cap had a small hole in it for air entry.

This is just a 1 1/2" hole. What happens if the drain clogs? It just floods the cabinet?

Just stating the facts, ryan. I've seen 3 good sites go down and 2 of them were due to too many clowns, when a site becomes a circus all of the good folks leave.
