Need a new roof but can not afford the high prices?

You buy the material and

I"ll shingle it for 18.00 a square.

Material must be on the roof.

This price covers a 4/12 to 6/12 pitch.

Over 20 years experience.

Certified by most of the major roofing manufactures ??? How?

This offer is to home owners only and you will get a written labor guarantee.

Well, if you're out of work, and it's a choice between:

A) Sit home playing XBox and make $0

or

B) Go throw down 15 squares on a roof that's already been stocked, and pocket $270 cash for the day,

which one would you guys choose?

Gotta be his gimmick just to get in the door. $18 a square, extra for flashing, extra for tear-off and felt, extra for new stack boots, extra for shallow or steep pitches, extra for disposal, and so on. If he is a fast nailer, how many squares could he do in an hour? Not a bad hourly wage, really. Still sucks if you are his competition.

Homeless & unemployed called this work scenario .... "Cash-Cow Economy"..... In other words... just find da way to milk the HO for fresh $$$ now... then run away fast later... nothing else matter. (No tracking) :whistling

I'm sure he is not paying taxes on his earnings, but if he was, that would knock off about 1/4 to 1/3rd of the fee charged right there, so he really would be working for around $12.00 per square or just a tad bit higher.

Yeah, for a fast shingler, that can still be decent money, but I made those wages at $18.00 per hour 25 years ago.
