I've floated quite a few engineered floors that way actually. Glued t&g joint, over pad. A good quality 1/2" or 5/8" product works quite well. Never done it with bamboo though...
Yeah, we used to do some pretty big floating engineered tongue and groove installs for retail stores. You just tapped them together tight with glue in the grooves. We used to do tons of glued together floating floors.. Even laminates were originally like that. Nope, and theres a reason for it. It is crazy and potentially dangerous!I know it's a bad idea. Just wanted to see if anyone has done it.
