What PSI threshold would you say is the maximum to use that will not ferr wood or damage siding??

Not enough info to give an accurate response. Depends on the wood species, age, distance the tip is from the wood. Could be 100 psi could be a 1000 psi

Cleaning wood is probably the toughest pressure washing task to master if you don't plan on sanding, some times it can not be avoided.

really a tough issue to address properly over the internet, you have know the condition of the wood before making a call like this, and even the best sometimes furrr the wood a little. SH is my go to for soft washing wood though
