Made some little brackets today. These are made from 2x4 framing lumber. The curved braces add some interest, as do the scroll ends and the joinery. No mortise and tenon, just let-in. These are called haunched braces. The vertical and horizontal members are lag screwed to the brace from the back.

What's the jointery? Dowels, tenons, nails?

poly glue -- I hate that stuff. But it does have it's place.

I actually sat down and calculated how many holes I drilled in a year back when I did production stairs; it was in the range of 6-7 k holes a year. I will buy my pegboard, thank you.

those brackets look awesome considering you built them from rough framing material :thumbup: Whatcha putin em on?
