Slogans for ContractorTalk.com

I'm getting a bunch of banner ads made for ContractorTalk.com. These banner ads will be used for both people who want to link to our site, and advertising I pay for on other sites.

Anyways, I need some good slogans and tag lines for the banners.
Got any ideas?

These can either be slogans that just stay up on the banner and don't move... or words that flash in and out. Like, Business... Painting... More...
You get the idea.

So, what should I include on these ads?

hmmm...I will think about it.

How about "stop talking on the job, and log in here!" :)
Not bad!

How about "where the trades meet" or something like that.
Also, one the just scrolled "Contractor Talk: Business.... Marketing.... Construction... Painting... and More."

Any other ideas?

Thanks...
not sure on actual slogans just yet, but I would like it to really spell out what someone can get from this website.
Like being able to share knowledge from people in your field from around the world, coming up with new ideas to help make your work easier and more profitable.
What is this board designed to do? We should have a slogan that spells it out loud and clear right away.

Nathan,

While I'm a newbie here, my first impression is that this site is very unique in that it allows all of the trades to discuss and share ideas on common issues. I think you should focus on that aspect.

So I offer the following (stimulated largely by your comments):

Contractors Unite... ContractorTalk.com

More than shop talk... ContractorTalk.com

Where Painters and Plumbers meet... ContractorTalk.com

Very nice.

Uniting contractors for the benefit of YOUR business.....ct.com
The business power of communication....ct.com
Spread the word and spread the wealth....ct.com <--- i like that one :)
Last call... any other wording?
I think I've desided on "where the trades meet." Do you think of the work "TRADES" when you think of contractors?
well, I think of "trades" not "contractors. And I think that is better, because I really am a salesperson in a trade, not a contractor.
Why not try a few different ideas and code them so you can track the results? For example, use a splash page for each ad and track the traffic to that page.

In another post you asked about CCN. One thing I learned from their Marketing MasterMind sessions was to track your marketing. It's not always easy, but if you can track what works you then know how to direct your efforts.

On the other hand, it's good to come up with a slogan/ tag line and market the hell out of it. Even if it's not ideal, it can still become ingrained and that's a good thing.

yea, I'm paying someone to make these ads. I didn't want to pay for 5 different ads.

Thats the logic behind it anyways.
I posted a quick (and cheap) contest on Sitepoint.com. I'm also paying a banner designer to come up with some as well.

Heres one from sitepoint. I'm not crazy about it but its not bad for the price

Here's another banner... one I paid someone to design. I'm going to ask for some changes though. What do you guys think?

Thats OK,
I suggest you have them take out the guy's face... Oye Oye !!!
Actually, I just didn't like the size of the logo. Also, I wanted to do something else with the list of trades.

I didn't think the guy was that bad. I think it makes the banner stand out more.

Anyone else?
Put flooring first :)

I would like to see different faces to choose from.
No way... we always put flooring last :D

Here's the final banner.

Were trying to get more people to the site and build this community.
