I had a shower put in my new bath in the basement. The guy that installed it took out too much backing around the drain and now there is a soft spot on the pan next to the drain. The shower is complete and the bath room is done. I am worried that the soft spot will eventually crack or leak. I thought about trying to use spray foam insulation and injecting it by drilling a small hole in the pan and then filling it. Then sealing the hole with silicone. My thought is it too might crack by the hole so not sure what to do. The guy who installed it is gone and can't be found. Go figure!
Any ideas on how to fix the problem with out tearing out the whole shower?
