I'm bidding a job where I must remove all the joist and steel column from a 5 story 90' long x 40' deep building. I will be placing new joist and new steel in it;s place. The architect wants to keep the shell of the building standing, and not have the building collaps on itself when removing the structure. What is the best way of shoring the building while I remove the joist and Steel columns?

I believe I should install the new steel columns with the beams to secure the building before removing the old joist and steel beams.

Any answers.

I hate to be rude but if you are coming to websites for info on this type of work you shouldn't be doing it. You run the risk of killing people, during and after.
