I've got one just like this, works pretty good, but you'll find yourself fighting with the hose now and then. And what seems to be the new norm for Ridgid, it was poorly thought out as far as hose and accessory storage. The hose and cord both go in the same compartment, and it is always a treat trying to get them to both fit back in there. And to top it off, that is the same compartment the crevice tool fits in too. If the hose and cord aren't just right, the tool won't fit.
I have 3 other Ridgid vacs as well, two are the bigger stainless steel ones, They are great, and surprisingly quiet for a big vac. They also have paper filter bags that fit in them, great for drywall dust and other filter-clogging fine dust.
Last year I had one go bad, the motor quit running. I followed the warranty stipulations and sent the powerhead in figuring they would blame it on me or the way I use it or something. Surprisingly, they sent an entire new vac - hose, accessories and all. I am impressed to say the least.
Just went out and bought a new one. Aint tried it yet but will in a moment.
