Anyone use shim screws for window and door installs (remodel)? I've been looking at Top Star shim screws and Jamo screws. The Top Star look pretty cool but it doesn't look like you can countersink them. The Jamo screws is made to countersink but the shimming action is not quite the same as Top Star, but the Top Star are around a buck/screw.

The top star does screw does sink slightly below the surface. I thought they were the neatest thing I'd ever laid eyes on until I saw a carpenter install a door with shims in the same time it took me to drill pilot holes for the top star screws.
