Sherwin Williams sells something meant to keep from scratching and sliding on gutters. I don't remember what it's called but it's much cheaper than the link you provided. It basically clips over the outer edge of the gutter and is rigid plastic which keeps from denting the gutter and it's rubber where it contacts the gutter to keep it from sliding

2x4 inside gutter and pipe wrap on gutter edge. Tie it to gutter screws and done. 90% percent of homes here dont have gutter gaurds.

 

I use the ladder doc.

I've always used the stand offs like shanekw. Has the added benefit of making the ladder really stable and not likely to slide. We call them elephant ears for obvious reasons.

Standoff are the simplest way to go. We call them ladder horns.

 

The Spider mentioned in the other post looks like it might be worth trying, but not for well over $200.
I've used Ladder Max for the last couple of seasons and had decent luck with it.

 

I just use a stand off, about $50. just clips on to the rungs of the ladder in a few seconds

 

Stand off here as well, quickest and safe too.

 

Stand offs from Home Depot-cost about $50. I've used them for years and years. They are aluminum-so won't rust and don't weigh much. EZ to slip on and off.

But, I suggest Werner's quick-click stand-offs.
