today i was at a woodworking supply and they had the rep for blueline sandpaper there giving demo and info on sandpaper.

interestingly he mentioned how a guy had told him their sandpaper was no good. responded where do you keep your sandpaper. buddy responded that he keeps it in his unheated garage

basically the point he wanted to make is that i guess you have to keep sandpaper at above 60 deg at all times otherwise the resins that bond it to the paper break down

I had been using the Mirka because I had bought a bulk quantity of it. Ran short of a few grits and picked up some of the Norton brand. It has outperformed the Mirka hands down. Usually I'm changing disks out frequently on oak but the Norton keeps a nice edge far longer than the Mirka.

normally i use norton but for finer grits i go to blueline. mainly do to price and availability. i can get the 25 packs for 15 dollars at one supply where as others want $20 for 20 packs of the same brand
