Fellow contractors,

Just a quick questions for any of you that re-finish decks on a regular basis.

Is there a sander you would recommend to sand underneath the railings of a deck? I have a belt sander, but oftentimes you have to sand cross grain. Is there something better?

I've tried pressure washing, but some decks really need to be sanded.

I never use a power washer on a deck for a lot of reasons....
stripper with a oxalic acid wash is the way I go. Sanding alone will not remove mold spors.

I sand with an orbital 60/80 grit on places that need it like the caprail after the two stage is dry. J.
