Restoring a Tin Ceiling

Looking for advice on getting paint off an authentic 1800's tin ceiling. The client is supplying me with the tin. I know it either has or might have Lead Paint due to its age. What is the best methode to get this paint off prior to installing it in their home? Anyone every heard of a dip tak for this type of application?

Furniture strippers often have tanks. Between stripping, hazardous waste disposal, extra charges by the stripper for dealing with lead and refinishing, those are going to be some pretty expensive tiles.

I would be tempted to go new repro's.

Soda Blasting

Hello all I am new, I have been in the media blasting game since 1999 .

Tin ceilings?
Have you considered having it soda or media blasted.

We have done tens of thousands of feet of tin ceilings with excellant results.

Thanks, yeah, we are getting estimates back in the $4-7 dollar per sq. ft. range. Way too expensive. They are reconsidering their choice. Anyone interested in some Tin
