Actually I have never replaced a door handle but give it a try.

I have and ALL are different. Opening up the door isn't that hard. Take your time and invest in a pushpin tool.. only about $10.00 from the HELP! section at autostores. If you have a crank window knob you will need to get one of those tools too. Just label or tape all screws you take out in their holes when you unscrew em. Basically the best thing to do is to drill the rivets out, remove old handle.. and just replace.. you will need one of those HUGE rivet guns for this.. those rivets aint small.

If it is a type that always busts (like my 91 stang.. I just use bolts to put it on now..) why mess with drilling the rivets out if I am just going to have to replace the damn thing next year anyway..

As mentioned every vehicle is different. Try to google your car and door handle removal and see what comes up. Usually not hard to get to the inside. Most common failure is the little plastic clips that hold the metal rods. Can you open your door from the inside or can't open at all? The trim removal tool mentioned before is almost a must for most doors. Just go to the junk yard or order online the parts you need to fix.

Junk yard. They would probably install new one for 100 dollars including the handle. Actually i think 100 is high. I got drivers side window installed for 70 dollars. That included them going out and grabbing one and installing it for me. I locked the keys in my 2nd car not my good car. Wasn't anywhere near home. Just took my elbow smashed the drivers side window. Went to carwash vacuumed up glass. Called local junk yard. They said no problem 35 for the window 35 to install. I called a locksmith that s.o.b wanted 105 dollars.

this morning went to the dealership they wanted $80 a pc i need 2. so screw that. called 8 or 10 scrap yards only one had the right ones it cost $10 in gas and $56 after tax, figure ill install it myself or get a friend of my old mans who does body work to do it

on the truck note. found a 06 gmc canyon for $14895 with 31455 kms on it. full bed liner, really good shape , the gm lot would want like 19k for it does this sound like a decent price, im going to offer em $11,500 with my trade in and see if theyll go for it. its on a saturn /saab lot and they seem to be moving trucks faster than any other lot in town. ford wont budge on their prices
