Repairing woodpecker holes in EIFS

4778 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  wasdifferent
I have a customer at the Lake of the Ozarks who has about a dozen wood pecker holes in his EIFS siding. This is a major problem around here and someone could make a very comfortable living just doing repairs. The local certified installers are so busy they will not even look at the job. I have heard so many horror stories about law suits that I will not do the repairs myself.

I am supposed to steam power wash the home using low pressure and no ladders (extension pole only), but first I must have the existing holes filled. This is a nice sized lake home in a very expensive cove……..but my gut is telling me to RUN and not look back on this one.

I don't know squat about EIFS or woodpeckers, but I can tell you one thing, don't EVER ignore that feeling in your gut. I have a vivid recollection of every single time that I did.
