Hi - i'm trying to figure out the best product and procedure to repair these steps. The steps used to have ceramic tiles which of course cracked and became lose. They have all been removed and stairs have been pressure washed. There are some areas on the side that need a major amount of cement/patchwork. The owner would like to put on some Banas stone for the tread/risers and platform.

Questions I have...
1) i want to have a smooth surface on which to put the treads/risers and tiles for the top platform. Which product should i use? From what i can tell some cement with polymer's.
2) For the larger areas that need to be patched - what is the best method to do this. Should i put up a board and then fill with cement?

Thx for any advice. Pictures attached

Ron

Hold your camera horizontally when you take pictures, it's better for everyone.

I would say those need to be torn out and rebuilt anything else will just be a patch.
