No king studs next to jack studs

Aluminum siding seams in a row staggered two to twelve inches one after another

No overhangs

No ventilation

No dripedge or rake edge plus a new roofer did a roof over and did not add any

Laminant cabinets that look like shelf paper

Laminate plastic moulding

Rough opening for replacement patio door 70wx79h

Their website says "Impeccable quality"

The did a development down the road from me. All panelized construction. They went up fast, but I have my concerns as to the "Impeccable Quality"

I also don't like the 2' staggered "Stair-step" siding pattern.

X2, I agree that quality is going downhill in favor of larger profits or lack of common sense. Every time i see a home being built here with little or no overhangs i laugh. A lot of these homes have poor ventilation and little or no ice/water shield put down. I am not talking cheap homes either, some of these home get listed for $350k to $800k and are nothing but a nightmare when the 1st snow storm hits. Then we all have these cheap kit homes in our communities, it is homes like these that keep a lot of us busy one way or another.

i am in the heart of ryan home country, and my buddies little bro got a job as a service mgr, making good money with percs even, i couldn't understand why they would hire him with no experience, then i realized he was like his bro and could bull**** with the best of them,

i subbed for a guy who was supposed to replace a door so he sent me there, to my horror i found the sheathing was space age cardboard, meaning the door jamb was too wide, i told the guy what was wrong and he said rip the jamb down, i was pissed to hear him say that,

so i went to h/o and said this guy is a fricken hack, i had to he was dead wrong in his fix, it had a metal threshold that would of been compromised, so i added a realnice inside trim job to make the door work and add insulation value, atleast thats what i told them anyways.

don't they give the guy more work for what i did for them, and once again things weren't what they seemed so this time i said to the guy you are on your own and left, looked right at the h/o and said good luck with this one,

how much do you save with no overhang anyway, where do they think the water will pour in when something like a piece of siding blows off haha
