Hi All,

There is a rat's nest inside of a drop ceiling that I need to get rid of. Is it best to trap them first or just go in and get rid of the nest? If I destroy the nest, will they go away?

Don’t waste time and effort with traps . Set out some bait stations.

Rats are extremely destructive, and I have never seen them effectively controlled with traps , ditto with mice

Glue boards and snap traps. You need to catch them, not poison them indoors.

Just a couple, try traps. If you can't trap them fast, switch to bait.

If you aren't experienced trapping them you may not get any, they can be pretty clever.

Trap them. The last thing you want to do is poison them and have them wander off, die and rot. If you destroy their nest, they'll just move and make another.

Any " King Rats" available to lead them into bandage?

Rats gotta have food and water.....

pet food / livestock feed, stored in paper/ wood containers = vermin pantry.
One rat seen at night = 10
one in daylight = 100+

If you had a rat nest in your building near mine, and you destroyed the nest without first killing 99% of the Rats. I'd sue and win.....
Get a Pro, it will cheaper in the long run.
