Jersey City is an "Urban Enterprise Zone". We have 3.5% sales tax in town here as well as a few other cities in NJ, as opposed to normal 7% NJ sales tax. My business is based in said Urban Enterprise Zone.
Can my customers enjoy that discount as well? Basically, if they hire a JC based contractor are they shopping in JC despite living in the suburbs?

I'm going to guess no, but if anyone has any first hand knowledge on this that would be great. Every little bit helps.

I think you charge the rate where the resident lives not where you are.

Maybe we can change our business name and open up in one of those tax free zones in NYC, 10 yrs worth.
