What's up everyone, I just stumbled across this site and it looks like there is a wealth of knowlege here. Hopefully someone can help me with a few questions that I have. I have an older block house that needs the roof reframed. Half of the existing roof is flat and the other half which has a low pitch is in pretty bad shape. Is it possible to reframe the roof and still live in the house while the work is in progress? Would the entire ceiling have to be replaced along with the roof? Also is there somewhere I can go to get a rough estimate on how much should expect to pay to have this done? Any help would be greatly appreciatied.
It can be done while the house is occupied. It should cost around 50 bucks a square foot. If you are replacing the ceiling, you will have to replace the ceiling.
