Recommendation to replace old fuse box

Was troubleshooting the breaker box in our 140 year old house finding breakers that weren’t operational, finally noticing that it was every other slot that was out...

One line from the pole had a blown old style fuse. I’ll throw in another fuse in the meantime but would like to replace it with something more weather proof and with a resettable breaker.

2 100A fuses are the pole and a 200A breaker box with disconnect inside the house.

Any recommendations on what to put out at the pole?

Upgrade the service to 200 amp. Install a 200 amp feed thru panel and install a 100 amp breaker to feed the house.

By the time you're finished with the remodel, I doubt 100 amps is sufficient to power the house, unless you have gas furnace.

Give me a call and I'll be glad to stop by and take a look.
