Blacktop - How do you sand in that occupied kitchen....wet sand or how ?
Those I don't sand at all..It takes a few onion skins over the skim coat to get right . It takes more time and a few extra trips ,,But when the H/O hears me say there will be no sanding ! They are always willing to pay that little extra for my time.;)

what and how does the onion skin method work?
Wipe on. Wipe off...Tight! I add light weight to my all purpose to cut down on the scratches .

No sanding just takes TIME!

So you hit all of the edges with light weight and that takes care of the sanding part?
It's a little more complicated than that...but no.

Tape /block/2 skims/ 2 TIGHT! skims over that! [no sand]

Had some issues with the can lights in the cathedral ... The spray foam got behind the box and expanded :censored:

I almost got it, but I still have ridges in the middle. Are you using all purpose compound or hot mud? I think I am mixing the quick set too thin.

By the looks of the pic ..Those are butt joints . By 'ridges' do you mean the joints are flashing? Not level? You gotta bust em out Mang!

If any way possible hang solid boards ..The less joints The better the finish.
