Thought I'd share some photos of a timber deck we did last year, all hardwood joists (5x2) are supported by galvanised brackets back too the concrete slab ( joists are suspended above slab)we poured
( needed too pour slab as there wasn't enough air gap under deck if convential bearers joist floor system was implemented and yes we installed several drainage pits under deck too control water runoff. Decking is 88mm x 19mm kwilla(Pacific hardwood) screwed down with 10gauge square drive screws) simple deck but come up pretty nice.

I think the garage has two openings one in fount and one in the back.

I see trouble that close to the ground as well with hardly any ventilation . My question is why build a deck ? just stamp/ color the concrete . Seems like double your effort for little / no return.
