There's a heavy beast! Have 3 or 4 of those in my shop...unused for years.

It's heave, for sure, but it's the only router I've found that's up to the task. I'm taking out 5/32x2 1/2 inches in one pass. The cutters are replaceable and rotateable, I'm on the 3rd set after hanging about 375 sheets. I'm going to get some shots of the steps just to cut out a hole for a box, it's insane, but it's what the HO insists upon.

I knew there would be a catch. Gus is trying to talk me into it as well. I may have to start looking into the possibility, although it's a slim chance at best.

Kyle, you guys must be doing something right up there. Homes like that are very few and far between around here.

Beautiful work on every pic you've posted.

nice place, normally i hate stone on the front of houses but that actually is really nice.

around here alot of new subdivisions spec stone as a mandatory on the front then switches to vinyl. all i can say is these places look like someone took a big crap after a night of pounding draft

ever seen those brick veneer panels? basically brick veneers glued to celotex and they use like a pastry bag to tuck point.

they're attached directly to the sheathing.

had to repair a bunch of houses that were getting mold on the exteriors where the brick was because the rain water just soaked into the celotex and had no way of draining.

seems like a terrible product to me.

Hughjazz,

Not to sound critical, but they let over framed valleys like that fly there? No valley board (larger than size of rafter) for support? What is stopping those rafters from sliding down off the pitch, or blowing through the sheeting?

I ask because we are going in to do major reno on a house that was framed the same way, no valley board. Personally, this house we are "fixing" would be easier, and probably cheaper to rip the roof off and start new. And this is not a small home.

I would HIGHLY suggest to you of putting a valley board under those rafters. I would hate to see you get caught and find out it isn't legal to do it that way.

Yeah that the new (to me) lift.

I absolutely love having it. 37' height 29' forward reach..

I could be convinced to use a ripped sheet for a valley board. Lot's of times there a 1' strips left over.

It just seems like overkill to put down a 2x valley board for a 6' 2x4 rafter
