So work has gotten busier for you guys? Still slow here, although the phone is starting to ring.
I'm not sure what it is :jester:

Yeah things are picking up. It sounds like we've got two customs ahead of us, one of which the couple said they are commited to geothermal and solar and that quality comes before price. They are going to get a very well constructed house, those are the kind of people we all want to work for.

So we may have work for the next 6 months to the end of the year, but I can't count on it until there are signatures.

Here is how we got the back cuts for the t&g

This got us the flat surface on the bottom to rest on the center log. Got the consistent height too.

@ Timuhler - is that the new dewalt worm drive in your pic? Didnt think it was out yet, may I ask where you got it and how you like it?

@ lone - I have never seen those metal wall studs that look like trusses. Whats the brand and whats make them different than traditional metal studs?

Sorry to thread jack. You guys do some amazing work though, I sit at my computer mezmorized everynight hoping I can learn to do that one day. Keep the pics coming

there was an assigned engineer for the entire project, thats how he wanted the entire house....

made sheeting easier for us!

also i consider it an honor to be thanked by LONEFRAMER, your pics are incredible, i havent been that far around the block yet, hell im only 23!

The entire framing package was the "Frame Rite" system by Marinoware. All the studs in this home are structural, whether load bearing or not. I don't particularly care for the open web design of the studs, because in many cases, the holes arent where you want them and it's a real bear to punch 'em where you want 'em. The owner opted for I-joist roof rafters rather than the steel option that is also offered by Marinoware.:thumbsup:
