I did some elliptical arches in some building but next renter destroy most of it. Just part is saved.

 

Starting the third floor tomorrow.

A showhome with a tight deadline... Took 4.5 days and a few nights

 

Been quiet in these parts lately. Set trusses today. Probably one of the smaller roofs we've done in a while. Will still have a bunch of Jack trusses to set and skirt roof around on the lower level.

 

I could post the same 20 homes we've been doing to liven this thread up, but it would bore y'all...

Yup, today i got it stuck good. Had to use the forks to push me out.. The site has ruts now like 2' deep. I may even send the machine back.. if i can't use it I don't want to get it stuck.

 

At least it was a rental.

 

That's a good one Nick. I have had to push myself out with the boom a few times as well.

 

I had to pat myself on the back last week, there is a steep grade in the backyard... maybe 4/12 pitch... It was all ice and thick mud.... Could not drive up, spun that sucker around and pushed with the boom... got up no problem....Not sure if this is a frowned upon practice, but it worked. The site is extremely mucky.

 

 

If the boom has chains, its extremely hard on them. If I saw some one using my lift that way I'd fire them.

 

What is the roof detail with the window;is that getting closed up?

It's the square tuits that throw me for a loop.

A fun change doing some timber framing on our latest model home.

 

Timber work looks nice. What are you guys using for your vapour retarder on the interior with that foil faced polyiso on the exterior?

Finished back framing the stairs at the custom house today... Nothing special, but I think I recall getting the idea to back frame under the treads from this forum years ago.

 

Great room feature wall on our current build.
