Not as complex as the bell dormer, but I think it's still pretty cool.

We eliminate any hip framing by slicing in the Y direction.

Same house, different foggy day.

Is that structure in the first picture being supported completely by coffee??;)


And, is that cardboard or masonite of some sort under the eaves, stapled over the osb sheathing?

That's new to me - is that an insulation thing?

Cooking up some 21' elliptical flitch plates.:chef:

Welding the CNC plasma cut steel parts that bolt up in between the plywood bread.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of it either. Its all a galvanized steel roof. I'd imagine that snow would have an easier time sliding off of that than a torch on roof.

I just think it looks goofy. But hey I'm not paid to design the building I just need to make a bunch of wood look like the picture.
