Thanks! Lots of pride in this one. This serves as a poolside shade area.

It was slightly challenging due to the dimensions being 10'6 x 11'6. Not sure if you can see from the pics but the valleys are off the corners. One gable is a 13 and the other is a12. I hope the clear redwood withstands the elements and time. I have been hearing stories lately about how redwood is failing and rotting.

As for "water management", I am sure ice guard will be used in the valleys if that is what you are speaking of.

Spotted these driving today. Almost completely clear, at least 16x16 and I think 44' long. Overhang the deck front and back. I wonder how much these go for these days?

Edit, google tells me these flatbeds are probably 45, 48 or 53' long.

76' x 16' 6" with the lift is the record:thumbup:
Wow

do you have outriggers?

I've done a few big ones with the lull that I used to have but not that long.

At that height a wind could get scary

Absolutely wind still. We used to build shops a lot more than now, and we'd fab all the walls with sheathing. Then build a Truss section on top of that. Wait for a calm day and slam it up in one day with the metal on the roof. And no, no outriggers. I'm also pretty sure I'd never do that again. Too many uncontrollable variables there. Now we're swamped with homes anyways.

Simpson CHC component hoist clip. Uses 3 to 5 3 1/2" sds screws. I bought a box of 50 four years ago and still have most of them. It's the professional way to do it.
