Not as complex as the bell dormer, but I think it's still pretty cool.

We eliminate any hip framing by slicing in the Y direction.

Same house, different foggy day.

Is that structure in the first picture being supported completely by coffee??;)


And, is that cardboard or masonite of some sort under the eaves, stapled over the osb sheathing?

That's new to me - is that an insulation thing?

Yeah, that's a cardboard stapled to trusses and osb sheathing. Those are called insulation stops.

What are they finishing that with? Drywall?

Yes, we provide CNC cut templates that they will use to cut 1/4" drywall, two layers. A little spray of water, leave it draped over a barrel and some careful handling and it's not too difficult.

Drywall guys love having the templates.

Don't see a lot of plaster anymore - mainly only see it on the complex curves (curved in two directions at once)
