I thought it would be cool to be able to come to one place and view everyones framing, so post away.
Last week we had wind gusts up to 110 km/hr. And we were working on the baldass prairie. This should probably go in the things I hate threadThe home I just finished framing had its Tyvek on for more than a month and had 30-40 mph winds. Thats probably low for some of you guys, I didn't have much of an issue but did need to make sure it was stapled well. The lower grade watershed wrap material would certainly have frayed some.
Yeah, that would go in the things I hate as well, pretty much double (60-70 mph).Last week we had wind gusts up to 110 km/hr. And we were working on the baldass prairie. This should probably go in the things I hate thread
Are those Headers in the second pic on partition walls?
Yes, not actually bearing anything, this builder just requests we use 2x10 instead of cutting cripples

What's his rational?
Sagging. Those openings are drywall archs, 3'-8" to 4' wide. Its also easier to remember than a cripple measurement, when there is 10 different crews building the same houses

I can see how it would speed production just having those openings added to the header cut list, but I don't think sagging would really ever be an issue in that application.
Definitely!Awesome

Come on down!:thumbsup:Definitely!
I just decided that after I get done working with Resta running plaster crown, I'm heading down to MD to work in the shop for a week or two.
Then I'll head into the hills and upset the earth's equilibrium and teach blacktop how to run a bazooka. By then it'll be spring and safe to return to Minnesota.:thumbup:Definitely!

Don't forget to pick me up on the way. Small detour north 👍Then I'll head into the hills and upset the earth's equilibrium and teach blacktop how to run a bazooka. By then it'll be spring and safe to return to Minnesota.:thumbup:
