The home I just finished framing had its Tyvek on for more than a month and had 30-40 mph winds. Thats probably low for some of you guys, I didn't have much of an issue but did need to make sure it was stapled well. The lower grade watershed wrap material would certainly have frayed some.
Last week we had wind gusts up to 110 km/hr. And we were working on the baldass prairie. This should probably go in the things I hate thread

Yeah, that would go in the things I hate as well, pretty much double (60-70 mph).

That reminds me, about 10 years ago we framed a 10k sqft apartment. We set trusses on a Friday, sheeeted both sides on one end on an angle from top of gable to top of wall. We braced trusses and went home. When we got there next Monday, all my trusses were laying on the roof like dominoes stacked nicely leaning on the sheeted end. Had it not been sheeted they would hve been off the house. We had unforeseen 60 mph winds that weekend and it took ot them down. We had an engineer come out, just needed to raise them back up and sister a few 2xs on a couple broken cords and good to go. We got lucky on that one.

Sagging. Those openings are drywall archs, 3'-8" to 4' wide. Its also easier to remember than a cripple measurement, when there is 10 different crews building the same houses

I can see how it would speed production just having those openings added to the header cut list, but I don't think sagging would really ever be an issue in that application.

Last couple houses, the last one had a couple 35 degree walls, nothing too complicated in these though.

And we have Tyvek crews here. Thats is all they do..

Then I'll head into the hills and upset the earth's equilibrium and teach blacktop how to run a bazooka. By then it'll be spring and safe to return to Minnesota.:thumbup:
