I thought it would be cool to be able to come to one place and view everyones framing, so post away.

Loneframer: Why all the large lumber on the turret? It looks to me the octagon framing is taking the weight and the turret is just holding itself. Obviously that's wrong or you wouldn't have put all that lumber up there, just curious.
Oh yeah, badass work!
Thanks. The big lumber is mainly for R-value. I like the double hips for greater nailing, moreso for inside than out. All was speced in the plans.

Thought you guys might be interested in an update on this project that I posted at the beginning of this thread.

This was a high end condominium project selling (or actually not selling) starting at $350 sf. We finished the project in the last quarter of 2008. At that time 2 units were sold. Since that time 1 more unit was sold, which left 62 units with price tags of 450,000 and up sitting empty for 2 years.

Last month the developer sold the project to a "distressed asset" company. Have not heard what the price was but assume it was pennies on the dollar.

Wow you sheath of off pump jacks, spoiled:notworthy
I like doing it old school way: gun one hand sheet over my head no hand I hope I don’t fall back climbing this 40’ ladder way:hang:
Is not that fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop:sick:
I didn't have pump jacks when I framed the first house I posted in this thread. 1996. Sheathed it off of ladders and wall brackets. I bought my first 3 poles when the builder asked me to side it. Added 5 poles about 2 years later, then 4 more last year.

Yeah guys, I don't think any of us bounce like we used to. I still want to get back into framing full time for a year or two. Hopefully things will turn around.

I have been taking pics since day one 12 years ago.
4 years ago my pc took a dive and lost a few years. Got an estimate for a hard drive recovery $3700.00
It’s worth it, I’ll get them back soon
I was able to save a few pics from this condo, thank god I forgot the memory card that day

Here are a couple of random shots, I need to resize a more I guess I was abusing the 7 megapixel camera at the time.

I really enjoy seeing how everyone does things differently. Our stairs are framed with sub treads and risers dropped to allow for finished wood later.

I will try to resize some more to get them on here later.

Love those Eyebrows, I am getting ready to remodel an older house that used to be my Dads office. It will be my house. The shed roof that extends over the fron porch will be a fully functional eyebrow, it's the perfect scenario for it.... Just as soon as those coins start dropping in the money jar again.
