I thought it would be cool to be able to come to one place and view everyones framing, so post away.:thumbsup:
Thanks. The big lumber is mainly for R-value. I like the double hips for greater nailing, moreso for inside than out.:thumbsup: All was speced in the plans.Loneframer: Why all the large lumber on the turret? It looks to me the octagon framing is taking the weight and the turret is just holding itself. Obviously that's wrong or you wouldn't have put all that lumber up there, just curious.
Oh yeah, badass work!
Since you first posted this pic,I always wondered how the flashing detail was addressed at those penetrations?I built an octagon bar under the water slide
The rear half was even hard. This was a sloping ramp then down to a lower lvl that wrapped around the building. Holy crap that was a pain in the butt

I didn't have pump jacks when I framed the first house I posted in this thread. 1996. Sheathed it off of ladders and wall brackets. I bought my first 3 poles when the builder asked me to side it.:thumbup: Added 5 poles about 2 years later, then 4 more last year.Wow you sheath of off pump jacks, spoiled:notworthy
I like doing it old school way: gun one hand sheet over my head no hand I hope I don’t fall back climbing this 40’ ladder way:hang:
Is not that fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop![]()
how did you frame the eyebrow on the garage picture? is it like a 1/2" 3ply on the brow first, then the high pitch of the mansard?My phone is ringing. I’m landing a few here and there.
Im running low on egg corns
It’s time for pricing shootouts:gun_bandana::boxing:
