I am getting ready to finish my basement bathroom. I have a trunk line that hangs to low for my liking. I would like to raise it up a couple of inches. How hard would it be to do this?? The end that I would like to raise connects to a transition piece then routes into the chaise. The transition has a 15" angled run that puts the ductwork at 3.5 " under my floor joist. I believe that codes state that there be a 1" space from trunk to joist. This would give me 2 more inches there, which is alot when dealing with a finished cieling hieght of 6'7" under the trunk if I can raise it.
